Pentium 2 Processors Recycling

Main Processor chip:

Main processor chip of Pentium 2 processors is the main part. This is the main difference between Pentium 2 and Pentium 3 processors. It contains half precious metals of one process. The recycling of this main processor chip is very easy. Some people think that its recycling is very hard. But I will tell you a very very easy method.

First, Remove its copper heat sink with the help of gas torch or another heat source. Don’t over heat the processor chip. If processor will over heated then it will not dissolve in acid. After removing all copper heat sinks. Put all processor chips in a beaker or any steel pot. Add the sulfuric acid double weight of processor chips. Now, Add 1 part of nitric acid. And give a touch of water. The reaction will start and its black part will start dissolve. If your reaction doesn’t start then you can add some more nitric acid to the solution.

You will not need any heat source for this process. It will take only 10 to 15 minutes to dissolve all black material. And you will see pure 24 karat gold wires bonding. Gold wires quantity is very high. You can leave it more processors chips in solution to dissolve all solder. This will take time. You can also wash them and treat with aqua regia to recover gold. If you use aqua regia direct then don’t forget to add some sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid will precipitate lead tin and other metals which can affect your aqua regia.

You will happy that You can easily earn 2.5 dollars from one Pentium 2 processor recycling.
